Children’s Bike Helmet Program
At Robert J. DeBry & Associates, our primary focus is helping accident victims; however, we strive to prevent accidents before they ever happen. As a result, we sponsor an ongoing children’s helmet safety campaign that provides useful tips for parents and children as well as the opportunity to purchase quality, children’s bike helmets certified by the Consumer Product Safety Commission at a reduced cost of $5 and $8. To pick up a bike helmet and a free cycling safety brochure that includes information on how to properly select and fit a bike helmet, give us a call or stop by one of our two office locations in Salt Lake City or St. George.
DeBry’s Free Rides Home
The law office of Robert J. DeBry & Associates is committed to helping prevent drunk driving by offering a free ride home program for adults who have had too much to drink and need a safe way home.

Texting and Driving
It's not a bad habit, it's a hazard. When you text and drive, you take your eyes off the road and your hands off the wheel, placing yourself and others in danger. According to the University of Utah, texting and driving, in comparison to driving while intoxicated, is even more dangerous. Remarkably, a person texting while driving is about 6 times more likely to result in an accident than a drunk driver. Learn more.
Assistance League of Salt Lake City and Operation School Bell®
Robert J. DeBry & Associates supports the Assistance League of Salt Lake City and its volunteers help the community through programs such as Operation School Bell, which provides clothing to underprivileged children who come to school inadequately dressed.
Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
In 2008, the members of Robert J. DeBry & Associates donated to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer to help provide breast cancer screening, support, and treatment regardless of someone’s ability to pay.
Bingham High School, Boys Basketball
In December 2009, the firm donated to Bingham High School’s basketball program.
MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)
As lawyers, we’ve seen the tragic impacts of drunk driving cases and have helped many families pick up the pieces after these accidents occur. We’re equally focused on finding a way to stop drunk driving before it occurs. We’re strong supporters of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and for every drunk driving case we win or settle we donate $500 to MADD. Since 2007, the firm has donated $19,345 to MADD.
Make-A-Wish Foundation®
Robert J. DeBry & Associates supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and its mission to bring hope, strength, and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions.
March of Dimes
Robert J. DeBry & Associates supports the March of Dimes—a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health of babies—through contributions and donations.
National Multiple Sclerosis Society
We raised funds during a walkathon event to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Funds raised went to help the organization serve more people living with multiple sclerosis.
The Road Home
The Road Home is a nonprofit organization that provides basic needs as well as personalized case management to help individuals and families experiencing hard times to get back on their feet and become self-sufficient. Since 2008, the firm has continued to support this organization through providing funds and donating items such as clothing and blankets throughout the year.
Together We Reach: The Campaign for the University of Utah
The University of Utah’s Together We Reach program gratefully acknowledged the firm’s contribution made in the memory of Michael Goldsmith in December 2009.
Toys for Tots
The holiday season brings cheer to many children, but some families are faced with hardships and are unable to afford toys and gifts for their children. To help make sure all the children in our community enjoy the holidays, the firm partnered with ABC4 to help sponsor Toys for Tots and provided drop-off locations at our offices where people can donate toys to needy families in Salt Lake City.
In December 2009, the firm donated 500 bicycle helmets and 50 bicycles to Toys for Tots to be given to disadvantaged children during the holidays. Because bikes are a common children’s gift, the firm wanted to help ensure the safety of the community’s youngest members.

West High School, Lady Panthers Softball
The firm supports local education and student athletics by donating to area schools. In March 2010, the firm made a donation to the Lady Panthers Softball team at West High School.
YMCA of Greater Salt Lake
Steven Sullivan, one of the firm’s attorneys serves on the board of directors for the YMCA of Greater Salt Lake and consults with the YMCA on legislative issues in addition to spending a substantial amount of time working with Camp Roger, a YMCA-affiliated camp. He’s also the former chairman of the Sports Night Committee and continues to be involved in fundraising for the Sports Night fundraiser.
